Milford, PA – Daniel N. Burns, Jr., 83, of Milford, PA formerly a resident of Dover Plains and Poughkeepsie, NY died on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Newton Hospital in Newton, NJ. Mr. Burns was a journeyman bookbinder at Western Publishing in Poughkeepsie, NY for 26 years retiring in 1993. He also worked at IBM for 11 years retiring in 1995.
Born on June 8, 1933 in Vandling, PA he was the son of the late Daniel N. Burns, Sr. and Edna (Wilson) Burns. Mr. Burns proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. On November 24, 1956 in Forest City, PA he married Doreen Jefferson who predeceased him on December 22, 2005.
Mr. Burns is survived by his three sons, Daniel J. Burns and his wife, Lisa, of Poughkeepsie, NY, David Burns and his wife, Cathleen, of Malden Bridge, NY and Steven P. Burns of Milford, PA. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Danielle Daudier and Arianna Burns and two great-grandchildren, Emma and Marc Daudier.
