Barry Simon Lazarow, 74, a resident of Dover Plains, NY died on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Putnam Hospital in Carmel, NY. Mr. Lazarow was a physical education teacher for the Yonkers Public School System for 36 years retiring in 1999.
Born on January 22, 1942 in Yonkers, NY he was the son of the late Nicholas and Alice (Herrmann) Lazarow. Mr. Lazarow received a Master’s Degree in Physical Education from New York University in Manhattan class of 1963. He also received a Master’s Degree in School Administration from Hunter College in Manhattan. On July 9, 1971 in Yonkers, NY he married Marie Caragine who survives at home. Mr. Lazarow was an avid car and coin collector.
In addition to his loving wife, Mr. Lazarow is survived by three daughters, Andrea Lazarow of Seoul, Korea, Anna Hallet and her husband, Edward, of Brookfield, CT and Elizabeth Lazarow of New York, NY and a son, Jonathan N. Lazarow and his wife, Jennifer, of Dover Plains, NY. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Emily and James Hallet and Alexander and Taylor Lazarow.
