Yonkers man stopped for speeding on the Sprain Brook Parkway charged with drug possession

Yonkers, New York – On July 13, 2016, New York State Police from the Hawthorne barracks arrested Bestar Mujaj, 29 years old, of Yonkers, New York, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, a Violation.
The defendant was stopped for speeding on the Sprain Brook Parkway in the City of Yonkers. Mujaj was found to unlawfully possess approximately two grams of marihuana and two Adderall pills.
The defendant was issued traffic tickets and appearance tickets returnable to the City of Yonkers court on July 25, 2016 at 9:30 a.m.
