Rhinebeck- Gretchen Williams, 68, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2016 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Gretchen enjoyed gardening but her real joy in life was her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.
After raising her family, she worked at the Baptist Home in Rhinebeck for over 20 years.
Born on May 22, 1948 in Rhinebeck, she was the daughter of the late George and Helen (Hill) Waldron. She graduated from Stissing Mountain High School in Pine Plains.
On June 8, 1968, she married Robert “Ed” Williams. Mr. Williams predeceased her in 2010.
Gretchen is survived by her daughter Christie Williams, her son Kyle Williams, and her granddaughter Emelia Williams-Dazi.
Memorial Visitation will be held at 51 W Market St, Rhinebeck on July 13 from 6 to 8 PM.
