She was the only child of Joseph B. Holden and Clara M. (Hait) Holden of Wappingers Falls and will rest in eternal peace by their sides. She was a member of the Wappingers Falls United Methodist Church. Her talents and hobbies were playing the piano, knitting, reading, tending to her plants, doing crossword puzzles and playing Rummy Cube with her friends. Her greatest gift was her personality and sense of humor, making people smile and laugh her whole life. Her greatest enjoyment was time with her family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends and even the family pets.
Affectionately and fondly known as “Loi,” “LoLo,” and “Grammy,” she was dearly loved by many friends in her community, in her church and when she lived at The Pines, she was also called “Mighty Mott” by the staff.
She was predeceased by her dear parents; one grandson, Michael G. Brandl; two close cousins, Malcom Hait (Hughsonville) and Carol Meeker Dibble (California); four childhood friends throughout her adult life, Ann Scofield Gruendle, Jane Scofield Gioia, Mary Scofield Gruendle and Lois Mitchell Montross, all from Wappingers Falls.
