Catskill man arrested for burglarizing vacant Claverack barn

PRESS RELEASE
Claverack, New York – On July 6, 2016, New York State Police from Livingston arrested 27-year-old Benjamin Doyne of Catskill, New York, for Burglary in the 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony.

At approximately 2pm on July 6, 2016, Troopers were dispatched to a vacant barn located on State Route 9H for a possible burglary in progress.  With the assistance of a Good Samaritan, Doyne was located inside of the barn and placed in custody.

Doyne was arraigned before Town Justice Brandon in the Town of Claverack Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.  His next court appearance was scheduled for July 19, 2016 at 7:00 p.m.
