New York City woman arrested for entering Downstate Correctional Facility with drugs

PRESS RELEASE
Fishkill, New York – On July 6, 2016, New York State Police from the Wappingers barracks arrested Tatiana McLaughlin, age 25, of New York, NY, for Promoting Prison Contraband in the 1st Degree, a Class D Felony, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th Degree, a Class D Felony, and Promoting Prison Contraband in the 2nd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

McLaughlin, who entered Downstate Correctional Facility to visit an inmate, was found to possess suboxone and synthetic marihuana.

The New York State Police were assisted by the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision Office of Special Investigations.

McLaughlin was arraigned before Town Justice Epstein in the Town of Fishkill Court and was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bond. Her next court appearance is scheduled for July 20, 2016, at 9:00 a.m.
