State Police in New Lebanon arrest California man for Felony DWI

New Lebanon, New York-On July 4, 2016, New York State Police from the New Lebanon Barracks arrested Alphonse J. LePore, age 43, of California, for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated:With A Child-Passenger Less Than 16.

Troopers stopped the vehicle LePore was operating on State Route 20 in the Town of New Lebanon for speeding, 63 MPH in a posted 45 MPH zone.  LePore was found to be intoxicated at the time of the stop.  LePore stated he had been drinking beer at a Fourth of July party in Pittsfield, Massachusetts and was driving to Ossining, New York with two children in the backseat of the vehicle age 23 months and five years old.

LePore provided a breath sample that revealed a blood alcohol content of .29% and was arraigned in the Town of New Lebanon Court.  LePore posted bail and is scheduled to reappear at the Town of New Lebanon Court at a later date.
