Dover Plains, New York – On June 23, 2016 at approximately 10:25 a.m., New York State Police from the Dover Plains barracks were dispatched by Dutchess County 911 for an unresponsive subject at a residence located in the Town of Dover.

Upon arrival, the troopers discovered an unresponsive 29-year-old male without a pulse.  An Investigation revealed the man had possibly overdosed on heroin. The Troopers administered three doses of Naloxone and within minutes, were able to locate a pulse.  Northern Dutchess Paramedics arrived on scene and administered an additional dose of Narcan intravenously and the subject regained consciousness and became responsive.

The Dover man was transported to New Milford Hospital by Northern Dutchess Paramedics.
