EDUCATION ALL SUMMER IN WASSAIC

WASSAIC, NY— The Wassaic Project is offering education programs in July and August for adults and children at the Maxon Mills and the Luther Barn in the Hamlet of Wassaic. For grades K-6 the Wassaic Project offers ART SCOUTS, a 4-session artist-led program where kids make art inspired by the Wassaic Project Summer Exhibition, Appetite for Destruction. (when?)For grades 6-9 there is CAMP WASSAIC in August where students explore contemporary art and creative collaboration.  Also in August there are silk screen printing workshops for teens and adults taught by the Wassaic Project Print Fellow, Mike Levine, a master printer who is living in Wassaic for the summer months.

The Wassaic Project connects K-12 students and families to art, artists, and creative resources. Now with year-round programming, the Wassaic Project offers free educational activities in Art Nest, the drop-in artmaking space where kids of all ages can create individual or collaborative projects, build creative skills, and engage with contemporary art.
