Carmel woman arrested following traffic stop

Greenburgh, New York – On June 20, 2016, New York State Police from the Hawthorne barracks arrested Catherine E. Giuliano, 35 years old, of Carmel, New York, for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st Degree, a Class E Felony, and Operating a Motor Vehicle Impaired by Drugs, a Misdemeanor.

Troopers stopped Giuliano on the Sprain Brook Parkway for having an inadequate passenger side headlamp.  Following an investigation conducted by the arresting officer, Giuliano was found to be operating the vehicle while impaired by drugs.  The defendant was additionally charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st Degree when a license check revealed that her driving privileges were revoked due to a previous DWI related arrest.

A State Police Drug Recognition Expert was used to confirm Giuliano’s impairment at the time of her arrest.

Giuliano is scheduled to appear in the Town of Greenburgh Court at 9:30 a.m. on July 7, 2016.
