Jamie Donald Barnard, 50, passed away peacefully at his home in Poughquag, NY on June 19, 2016.

Born in Poughkeepsie, NY on April 15, 1966 to Albert and Jeanine (Belanger) Barnard, Jamie was an exceptional professional carpenter and woodworker.  He was also an outstanding craftsman; “there wasn’t anything he couldn’t build”. He was an extremely hard working man and many were amazed by him.

Jamie enjoyed hunting, PINK FLOYD and David Gilmore.  He was an avid Oakland Raiders and NY Rangers fan, and played ice hockey himself.

He is survived by his parents, Albert and Jeanine, of Poughkeepsie; his son, Jamie II, and daughter, Kayla Jean, both of Holmes; his wife, Laurette, also of Holmes; two brothers, Daniel (Karen) of Newburgh and Alan of Poughkeepsie; two sisters, Carole Barnard of Poughkeepsie and Debbie Kelly of Pleasant Valley; and several nieces and nephews who love him very much.

He is predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and David.

Family and friends may call at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, Thursday, June 23rd from 2-4 and 7-9 PM; a  funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home at 8 PM.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
