Parksville Man Arrested for Burglary and Larceny

PRESS RELEASE

On June 17, 2016 State Police at Liberty arrested Erik Jacobsen, age 23 of Parksville, NY after an investigation into a residential burglary reported on May 20 and a larceny reported on June 3, 2016.  On May 20th, a Livingston Manor resident reported that their home had been broken into and that a Fender electric guitar had been stolen.  On June 3rd, a different homeowner in Livingston Manor reported several chain saws stolen from their property.  An investigation by the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation determined that Jacobsen was responsible for both thefts.  The electric guitar was recovered.

Jacobsen was charged with Burglary in the Second Degree, a felony, and Petit Larceny, a misdemeanor.  He was arraigned in the Town of Rockland Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $30,000 cash bail.
