Brooklyn man charged with official misconduct and sex abuse

Bedford, New York – On June 15, 2016, New York State Police from the Somers barracks arrested 48-year-old Jeffrey Green of Brooklyn, New York, for Official Misconduct, and Sexual Abuse in the 2^nd Degree, both Class A Misdemeanors.

Green, formerly employed as a Correction Officer at Bedford Correctional Facility, was arrested as a result of a detailed investigation conducted jointly with the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision Office of Special Investigations.  An investigation revealed that in March of 2016, Green had an sexual encounter with a female inmate confined to the prison.

Green was arraigned in the Town of Bedford Justice Court and released on his own recognizance. His next court appearance is scheduled for July 13, 2016 at the Town of Bedford Justice Court.
