Stuyvesant man charged with burglarizing Stuyvesant home

PRESS RELEASE

Stuyvesant, New York – On June 13, 2016, New York State Police from Livingston arrested 29-year-old Michael J. Taylor, of Stuyvesant, New York, for Burglary 2nd Degree, a Class C Felony.

On June 13, 2016, Troopers were dispatched to investigate a burglary that occurred on Dolly Drive.  The complainant reported that while she was watching television, she observed the suspect enter her home.  When the suspect, who was later identified as Taylor, learned that the home was occupied, he immediately fled from the residence on foot.  Police located a subject in the area of Gibbons Road and placed him in custody.

Trooper Keeler and K9 Juna were utilized to track the suspect.

Taylor was arraigned before the Hon. Justice O’Hare in the Town of Stuyvesant Justice Court and released on his own recognizance.  He is due to reappear in Stuyvesant Court on July 6, 2016.
