Take My Hand

Take my hand, so you won’t fall,
I’ll be here, by your side,
My shoulder you can lean on,
In me you can confide.

Take my hand, you need someone,
When something makes you blue,
We all need someone stronger,
‘Til we can see things through.

Take my hand, don’t be afraid,
I’ll never let you down,
Your heart will feel much lighter
To have someone around.

Take my hand, and hold it tight,
And talk your cares away.
When things start looking brighter
It’s then I’ll hear you say:

“Thanks for the hand you gave me,
Your kindness you have shown,
Now let another hold that hand,
Cause I can walk alone”
