Statement from Dutchess County Executive Marcus J. Molinaro
following the passing of former Dutchess County Legislator Margaret Fettes
“We are saddened to learn of the passing of Margaret Fettes, who served many years in the Dutchess County Legislature representing the Millbrook/Washington/Amenia area. I had the pleasure of working with her during my time in the County Legislature and always held her in high regard. Margaret was a truly kind-hearted woman who believed in the importance of community service and made a long-lasting commitment to it. We are grateful for the impact she made on Dutchess County.
We extend our thoughts and prayers to her family and thank them sincerely for supporting Margaret in her service to our community over the many years.”

County Executive Molinaro has directed all Dutchess County Government facility flags to be lowered to half-staff in honor of former Legislator Fettes. Flags will remain lowered until interment.
