East Fishkill man charged with felony driving while intoxicated

following Westchester County traffic stop

Greenburgh, New York – On June 7, 2016, New York State Police from the Hawthorne Barracks arrested Oscar C. Thomas, age 30, of East Fishkill, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated, a Class E Felony, due to a previous DWI related conviction within the preceding 10 years.

Troopers stopped Thomas on the Sprain Brook Parkway for texting while driving.  A subsequent investigation revealed that he was intoxicated at the time of the stop.

The defendant provided a breath sample that revealed a Blood Alcohol Content of .08% and was issued traffic tickets directing him to appear in the Town of Greenburgh Court on June 16, 2016 at 9:30 a.m.
