“AS THE WARM WEATHER APPROACHES, PLEASE REMEMBER TO BE MINDFUL OF YOUR ATTIRE. THIS INCLUDES BOTH GENDERS. ALL STUDENTS ATTENDING DOVER HIGH SCHOOL SHOULD ADHERE TO THE DRESS CODE.”

1. Today is an “A” Day.

2. Varsity Baseball players must return both sets of uniforms this week.

3. SAT Word of the Day – HALLOWED  – The word means revered or consecrated.

4. There will be a meeting on Monday, June 6th in the high school dining hall during 6th period for all those interested in cheerleading for the upcoming football season.

5. The JV and Varsity Sports Awards ceremony is next Tuesday, June 7th in the HS Auditorium.  The ceremony will be held from 6:00-9:00pm.

6.  Congratulations to the newest members of the National Honor Society!!! 

7.  Attention 6th grade – The next Newspaper Club meeting will be Monday, June 6th from 2-3:30 pm in the middle school computer lab (room 1129). We will finish our June newspaper. See Mr. Orton with any questions.

8. Save the Date and capture some middle school memories – Middle school Student Council is bringing a photo booth to Dover Middle School on Thursday, June 16th. Props will be provided and the cost is $1 per person every time you enter. Photo strip of 4 poses will be printed instantly for everyone who is in the picture. 

9. Mrs. O’Hearn needs to see the Senior Class officers TODAY during 5th and 6th period!

10. National Junior Honor Society Food Drive – If you missed out on winning the door decorating contest, here’s another chance for your homeroom! The homeroom class who brings in the most cans/dry goods wins a pizza party or breakfast! Let the battle of the cans begin!! Also, for every item you bring in, a raffle ticket will be put into a raffle for an Amazon gift card. The more you donate, the more chances you have!

11. Attention all high school students – Yearbooks will be handed out TODAY during both lunch periods! This is your last chance to buy a Yearbook so don’t miss out! Bring cash or a check to Ms. Wool for $75, there are only 26 left!

12. Attention all MS & HS students – Come see The Music Man and support the Dover Theater Company. Performances are this weekend June 3 at 7 pm and June 4 at 3 pm and 7 pm. Tickets are $6 for students and seniors and $8 for adults. We hope to see you all there!

13. The FarmOn Foundation offers summer educational programs to students in addition to bringing local nutritious milk to schools throughout the Hudson Valley. FarmOn Foundation also offers other agricultural experiences. Some of these programs include a 12 week Ag-Academy program in partnership with SUNY and Cornell where college students will have the opportunity to live onsite at Empire Farm and custom grow organic vegetables for NYC Chefs. We encourage students heading off to college to join them for the summer to earn college credits, $3,500 scholarship, and an amazing experience. Stop by the guidance office for more information!

14.  The winner of the Dover Music Logo contest is…..6th grade chorus member- Juliette Bassett!  Thank you to everyone who participated.  All entries were artistic and thoughtful.  Congratulations Juliette!

 15.  There will be a Sign Language Club meeting after school on Monday, June 6th for any middle school students who are interested.  The meeting is in Mrs. Roe’s room #1116.
