Drunk Driver Arrested After Striking Troop Car

Greenburgh, NY – On June 2, 2016, at approximately 10:15 p.m., State Police were issuing a traffic citation to a 2004 Honda Accord on I-287 at Exit 6 on the right shoulder, when the driver of a 2015 Honda Accord sideswiped the Troop car and then struck the 2004 Honda.

The driver of the 2015 Honda Accord, later identified as, Lisa J. Buerle, 52, of White Plains, NY, was found to be intoxicated.  She was transported and processed at SP Tarrytown where her blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.15%.  She was subsequently charged with:

  • Driving While Intoxicated; a Misdemeanor
  • Multiple Vehicle and Traffic Violations

Buerle was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Greenburgh Court on June 22, 2016 at 9:30 a.m.

Greenburgh Ambulance responded and tended to the drivers of both Hondas and the Trooper.  The driver of the 2004 Honda, Angie V. Gil, 22, of White Plains, NY, and Buerle were not injured.  The Trooper sustained an arm and shoulder injury, was treated and released.
