06/02/16 – The New York State Police, Highland BCI announce the arrest of 28 year old Robert C. Newkirk, of Modena, NY, for Sexual Abuse in the First Degree (a class D felony).
The New York State Police – Highland BCI conducted an investigation into a report that a 10 year old girl was inappropiately touched by Robert C. Newkirk in the Town of Plattekill in 2015. On June 1, 2016, Newkirk was arrested and charged with Sexual Abuse in the First Degree.
Newkirk was arraigned by Judge Murphy of Plattekill Town Court and subsequently remanded to Ulster County Jail on $10,000 cash / $20,000 bond.
