Obituary, Carman J. “Joe” Marrone

 

Carman J. “Joe” Marrone, 94 of Millbrook,NY died on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Sharon Health Care, Sharon,CT.

Born in Cranston,R.I. on July 18, 1921, he was the son of Filippo and Clementine Marrone.

Carman proudly serve his country during WW-II with the US Army. He was the recipient of the American Service Medal, EAME Service Medal, and the WW-II Victory Medal.

On July 26, 1953 at St. Joseph’s Church, Millbrook, Carman married Catherine Golden. Mrs. Marrone predeceased him on April 5, 2012.

Mr. Marrone was employed by IBM, Poughkeepsie for 33 years retiring in 1984 as a Field Engineer.

Carman is a longtime time parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church, Millbrook and a 72 year member of the Pleasant Valley- Millbrook American Legion Post # 739.

Carman is survived by his two sons; Carman J. Marrone Jr. and his wife Donna and Philip Marrone and his wife Rosanne; 9 grandchildren, Leigh Matthews and her husband Dan, Christopher, Dylan and his wife Amethyst, Luke, Anthony, Philip, Rebecca, Michael and Monica Marrone; 2 great grandchildren, Maximus and Griffin Matthews; sister-in-law, Ethel Marrone; step sister, Angie Young step brothers, Dominic DeSantis and Alex DeSantis and his wife Shirley; and step granddaughter Kaiya White. He was predeceased by a grandson, Andrew Joseph Marrone.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, June 4 at 10 am from St. Joseph’s Church, North Ave., Millbrook. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Millbrook.
