1. Today is a “B” Day.

2. Attention 6th grade – The next Newspaper Club meeting will be held today from 2-3:30 pm in the middle school computer lab.

3. SAT Word of the Day: PITHY  – The word means concisely meaningful.

4. Attention Seniors – Many scholarships have a due date of June1st! Get those applications turned into the guidance office.

5. There will be Volleyball open gym on Tuesday in the high school gym from 2-3:30 pm. Any questions please see Ms. Fisher. All high school and middle school students and volleyball players are welcome!

6. Attention all girls interested in playing girls Varsity Soccer next year, there will be a meeting after school on Wednesday in Mr. Esposito’s room.

7.  Are you looking for summer work? There is a job opportunity for our students this summer. The job is through Metro Golf and the Golfworks Foundation. They are in charge of summer golf course employment at Silo Ridge in Amenia. Questions and applications can be picked up in the guidance office!

8. Attention all Sophomores and Juniors – Summer Scholar applications are now available in the high school guidance office. Summer Scholars is a summer program offered at Dutchess Community College from July 31st to August 5th. The program title “Global Terrorism: Causes and Consequences” is designed to challenge high school students. If you are interested in this program, please come to the guidance office to pick up an application packet. Applications are due in the guidance office by Wednesday, June 1st – NO EXCEPTIONS – so plan accordingly.

9. Voting for the cutest Pet Photo will end on Tuesday. The winner will be announced on Wednesday. Only 2 days left to get your votes in!

10. National Junior Honor Society Food Drive – If you missed out on winning the door decorating contest, here’s another chance for your homeroom! The homeroom class who brings in the most cans/dry goods wins a pizza party or breakfast! Let the battle of the cans begin!! Also, for every item you bring in, a raffle ticket will be put into a raffle for an Amazon gift card. The more you donate, the more chances you have!
