Bronx woman arrested for attempting to smuggle drugs into a Correction Facility.

PRESS RELEASE

State Police at Ellenville announce the arrest of Esthella Walker, age 41, of the Bronx, NY for Promoting Prison Contraband 1st, a Felony, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th, a Misdemeanor and two counts of Endangering the welfare of a Child also Misdemeanors.
On May 22, 2016 Esthella Walker came to the Ulster Correctional Facility to visit her husband who is incarcerated.  Further investigation by the Department of Correctional Services and the State Police found Esthella Walker in possession of Suboxone pills after entering the facility, all while her two young daughters were with her.
Esthella Walker was arrested for Promoting Prison Contraband 1st, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th, and two counts of Endangering the welfare of a Child.  Walker was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Wawarsing Court on May 27, 2016 at 8:30am.
