CRONAN, Dale Frederick Of Harwich, MA died on Thursday, May 19th surrounded by his loving family at Brigham & Women’s Hospital from complications of pneumonia. Dale is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Lesley Crawford Cronan., cherished daughters Kathryn Cronan Lombardi and husband Nicolas Lombardi of Norwell, Elizabeth Cronan and her fiance Christopher Farden of Charlestown, and Stephanie Cronan of Somerville. Dale also leaves behind his adored grandsons William and Andrew and his sister Penny Cronan of Saratoga Springs, NY. He is predeceased by his parents, Geraldine and Thomas Cronan, and his brother Thomas. Dale grew up in Ticonderoga and Pawling, NY and was a resident of Marblehead, MA for 40 years, retiring to Harwich 3 years ago. He graduated from Ticonderoga High School, Clarkson University, and PMD at Harvard. He spent his career at Boston Edison and Concord Municipal Light Dept. Dale enjoyed many hobbies including tennis, skiing, sailing, and gardening, but his favorite pastime was golf. He started caddying at an early age and played for over 60 years. He will also be remembered for his keen wit and ability to tell jokes. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours at the John-Lawrence Funeral Home, 3778 Falmouth Road, MARSTONS MILLS, MA on Wednesday, May 25th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Cotuit Federated Church in Cotuit, MA on Thursday, May 26th at 1:00 p.m., with a luncheon to follow in the fellowship hall.
