Stanfordville woman arrested subsequent to domestic dispute

PRESS RELEASE

Stanford, New York – On May 16, 2016, New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks charged 19-year-old Starrkeyia Richardson, of Stanfordville, New York, with Assault 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony, and three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Troopers were contacted by a Town of Stanford man who reported that at approximately 10:00 a.m. on May 15, 2016, Richardson poured boiling water on him during a domestic dispute.  The incident occurred in the presence of three children.  The victim was subsequently transported to Vassar Brothers Hospital for a medical evaluation.

The defendant was arraigned before Town Justice Sears of the Town of Pleasant Valley Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond.  She is scheduled to appear before the Town of Stanford Court at a later date and time.
