Menacing, Marijuana, and Weapon Possession Arrest

On May 10, 2016 the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation at the Kingston Barracks arrested ERNEST T. TOWNSEND age 65 of Shokan, NY for Menacing 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree, and Criminal Possesion of Marijuana 3rd Degree.
On May 9, 2016 the New York State Police investigated a road rage incident that occurred in Olive, NY when a subject in a motor vehicle allegedly brandished a firearm at another person. Investigation later identified the subject as ERNEST T. TOWNSEND. As a result of that investigation TOWNSEND was arrested for Menacing 2nd Degree a misdemeanor. TOWNSEND was also found to be in possession of more than 8 ounces of marijuana and an illegally possessed firearm (pistol) resulting his additionally being charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana 3rd Degree, a felony, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree, a misdemeanor.
TOWNSEND was ordered to appear in the Town of Olive Justice Court at a later date.
