AND HONORED DR. DAVID CRENSHAW AND JOE DAVIS, FORMER BOARD MEMBERS

County Executive Marcus Molinaro spoke

POUGHKEEPSIE, NEW YORK, May 4, 2016 – The David and Robert Crenshaw Training Fund of Astor Services for Children & Families sponsored a training entitled, “Inspiring Hope and Healing,” yesterday at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel. This Training Fund promotes the continued training for Astor’s employees and the wider community of service providers.

“This training helped to enhance our clinicians and educators’ skills and understanding of working and supporting “trans youth” as well as the importance of self-care so they can continue to provide the quality care, support and treatment to children and youth,” says Athena Drewes, PsyD, RPT-S, Director of Clinical Training and APA Internship, Astor Services for Children & Families.

During the lunch, County Executive Marcus Molinaro thanked the group for the hard work they do on behalf of children and families. He also shared with them the plan to make the county, the healthiest in the county, which means, all sectors, government, nonprofit and private, must work together.

Astor awarded former Board members, Dr. David Crenshaw and Joe Davis, with the Serena Branson Award for Significant Contributions to Astor.
