One car fatal accident in Tuxedo

The New York State Police in Monroe, with the assistance of the Town of Tuxedo Police, are investigating a one car fatal accident on Long Meadow Rd in the Town of Tuxedo.
On April 30, 2016 at approximately 5:30 AM, the State Police responded to a one car fatal accident on Long Meadow Rd in the Town of Tuxedo. The vehicle was traveling southwest when it left the roadway and struck a utility pole and an earth enbankment. The operator of the vehicle, Jacob Corti age 16 of Greenwood Lake, was flown to Westchester Medical Center with injuries to his legs. The lone passenger, Dale Hirrel also age 16 of Greenwood Lake, was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Orange County Medical Examiner.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact the State Police at Monroe at (845)782-8497.
