Obituary, Rinaldo Dipre

 

Rinaldo Dipre passed away April 23, 2016 at The Grand Nursing Home in Pawling after a brief illness; he was 84 years old.

Born in Stenico, Italy on July 12, 1931, he was the son of Quintilio and Amelia (Pederzzoli) Dipre, and was married to Angela Cadore, who predeceased him on September 1, 2013.

Mr. Dipre was a union timberman in construction in NYC before he retired.  Mr. Dipre was a resident of Wingdale for over 40 years, having previously lived in Ridgewood, NY, after coming to the United States in 1955.  He loved deer hunting, dogs, and bowling  at the Dover Lanes.  He loved going to casinos and flea markets, and entertaining company in his home. Rinaldo and his wife Angela maintained a community residence for almost 20 years, working to provide a decent place to live available to those less fortunate.

Mr. Dipre is survived by his daughter, Rosemary Dipre of Wingdale, NY; a brother, Sandro Dipre and sister, Sandra Gonghi, both of Italy; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may pay their respects at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, Tuesday, April 26th from 5-8 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 AM at St. John’s Church, Pawling.  Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dutchess County SPCA, 636 Violet Avenue, Hyde Park, NY 12538.
