Troopers arrest two for drugs, impersonation

The New York State Police in Wurtsboro announce the arrest of NAJEE J. STITH, age 23, of Nyack, NY for the felony charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (CPCS) in the 3rd and 5th degrees and the misdemeanors of CPCS 7th, Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia 2ndand Criminal Impersonation 2nd.  Additionally, JESSICA S. MOHAN, age 18, of Middletown NY was charged with the felony charge of CPCS 5th degree and misdemeanors of CPCS 7th, possession of a controlled substance outside of its original container, Criminal Impersonation 2ndand Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 2nd.

Troopers observed a 2002 Mitsubishi Galant, apparently disabled on ST-209 in the Town of Mamakating with STITH and MOHAN adjacent to same.  Both STITH and MOHAN initially identified themselves with false names.  MOHAN advised that she was operating the vehicle when they ran out of gas.  The true identities of STITH and MOHAN were eventually learned and STITH was determined to be wanted on a NYS Parole warrant.  MOHAN’s driver’s license was determined to be suspended several times.  STITH and MOHAN were taken into custody where it was determined that STITH possessed a quantity of cocaine packaged for sale and additional amounts of cocaine within the vehicle.  MOHAN possessed cocaine and a prescribed controlled substance outside of the original container.

STITH and NOHAN were arraigned before Town of Mamakating Town Justice Cynthia Dolan who remanded both to the Sullivan County Jail on no bail.  Both STITH and MOHAN are scheduled to appear in the Town of Mamakating Town Court on April 21, 2016 at 9:00am.
