Pine Plains – Louis J. Giacomo, 87 of Pine Plains, NY passed away on Wednesday March 23, 2016 at his residence. He was born on March 11, 1929 in Yonkers, NY a son of James and Caroline (Campana) Giacomo. A veteran of the Korean War, Louis was a self employed building contractor. In 1951 in Yonkers he married Josephine M. (Porcello) Giacomo. She pre deceased him in 2012.
Survivors include a daughter and son in law, Annie and Vincent Manzi of Pine Plains and a daughter, Caroline Giacomo of Wappingers Falls, NY. He also leaves two grandchildren, Annette Decker of Pine Plains and Vincent Manzi IV of Ancram, NY; four great-grandchildren, Madison, Giana and Josephine Manzi along with Julia Decker. Additionally he leaves a brother Michael Giacomo of Florida.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
