Middletown Troopers Make Four Arrests During Prostitution Sting

PRESS RELEASE

On March 23, 2016, State Police in Middletown conducted an anti-prostitution detail in the Town of Wallkill. The following men were arrested after they made contact with a female undercover state trooper and requested she perform a sex act in exchange for money: Richard Neena, age 57, of Monroe, NY; Shawn L. Scandell, age 45, Town of Crawford, NY; and Pedro Moran, age 46, Middletown NY. All three of the suspects were charged with patronizing a prostitute in the third degree. Neena was also charged with driving while ability impaired by alcohol. All three men were issued appearance tickets to appear in Town of Wallkill Court on April 13th at 9:00 AM and released. Jaquan K. Alexander, age 19, of Middletown NY was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, and patronizing a prostitute in the third degree after he offered an undercover trooper crack cocaine in exchange for a sexual act. He was arraigned before Town of Wallkill Justice Peter W. Green and committed to Orange County Jail in lieu of $1,000.00 bail pending a March 30th court appearance in Town of Wallkill Court.
