State Police arrest Coxsackie man for Criminal Contempt and other charges

PRESS RELEASE

     The New York State Police, at Catskill, announce the arrest of JOSEPH A. OATHOUT, age 40, of Coxsackie NY for Criminal Contempt in the first degree, a class E felony and Aggravated Harassment in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor.

Patrols had responded to a reported Aggravated Harassment complaint in the Town of Coxsackie.  Investigation revealed OATHOUT had made numerous harassing phones to the complainant during a period of time on this date, in violation of a valid stay away order of protectionprohibiting any contact whatsoever with the complainant.?

OATHOUT was located at his residence in the Village of Coxsackie and arrested for the above charges.  OATHOUT was processed at SP Coxsackie and arraigned before the Town of Coxsackie court, and was remanded to the Greene County Jail in lieu of $2000.00 bail or $5k bond, to return on a later date.
