State Police arrest Woodside man for prison contraband

On March 19, 2016, State Police arrested AKIM DONGO, age 48, of Woodside, N.Y. for Promoting Prison Contraband 1st degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5thdegree( both class D Felonies). The arrest resulted from an investigation conducted by The New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, Office of Special Investigations after DONGO, who had been confined as an Inmate to The Greene Correctional Facility when he was found in possession of a quantity of sublingual Suboxone strips. DONGO was arrested upon his release from State Prison and arraigned before Town Justice Dorpfeld in The Town of Coxsackie Court after which he was committed to the Greene County Jail with no bail.
