New York City woman arrested for entering Fishkill Correctional Facility with pills

PRESS RELEASE
Fishkill, New York - On March 19, 2016, the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Wappingers barracks arrested Rachel J. Sime, age 
43, of Brooklyn, New York, for Promoting Prison Contraband in the first degree,a Class D Felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th 
Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor. 
 
Sime entered Fishkill Correctional Facility to visit an inmate while she was in possession of numerous prescription pills. 
 
The New York State Police were assisted by the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision K-9 Unit. 
 
Sime was arraigned at the Town of Fishkill Court and she was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond. Her next 
appearance at the Town of Fishkill Court was scheduled for March 23, 2016, at 10:00 a.m.
