Greenport woman arrested for falsely reporting an incident

Greenport, NY – On March 15th, 2016, the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation at Livingston arrested Deneene Gonzalez, 42, of Greenport, NY, for Falsely Reporting an Incident in the third degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.
On March 9th, 2016, Gonzalez reported to the State Police that she was the victim of a violent crime at her residence. A subsequent State Police investigation determined she had, in fact, fabricated the entire incident.
Gonzalez was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Greenport court on March 28, 2016.
