Troopers arrest Millbrook man for felony drug possession

Washington, New York – On March 9, 2016, New York States Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Stephen C. Pastorek, 46 years old, of Millbrook, New York, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th Degree, a Class C Felony, Tampering with Physical Evidence, a Class E Felony, and Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor.

Troopers stopped Pastorek on South Road for speeding and failing to maintain his designated lane of travel on State Route 82.  The defendant stopped for police in his driveway and was observed throwing items from the driver’s side window.  An investigation revealed that Pastorek had thrown two bags that contained approximately 2.5 grams of cocaine from the vehicle.  Additionally, Pastorek was found to be intoxicated at the time of the stop.

Pastorek was arraigned before Town Judge Feigelson in the Town of Washington Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bond.  He is due to reappear in the Town of Washington Court on March 11, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.
