The Village of Brewster Film Festival (VOBFF) is now accepting independent film submissions for its 2016 season.

Brewster, NY…………Now in its fifth year, the VOBFF has enjoyed tremendous growth in terms of venues and films. Cold Spring’s historic Chapel Restoration, seated on the Hudson River at the Cold Spring Metro North Station, was added as an opening screening venue, while films continued to be shown at locations throughout Brewster, NY.
“We have seen substantial growth in the Festival and are very proud of what we have done,” says chairperson, Bob Dumont.  “To see films screened from Ryder Farm in Southeast to the Hudson River is quite an accomplishment. We are one of the few events that occurs on both sides of Putnam County.”
The VOBFF added a full animated series in 2015 which was shown in Southeast at Empire Cinemas.  “It was the first time we were able to have a solid series of animated films, and they were terrific,” says co-chair, Stacy Dumont.  The event team labeled it “Saturday Morning Cartoons” and greeted the early morning movie goers in their pajamas.
The VOBFF will continue to screen its Saturday night award-winning short films at Ryder Farm, with the popular Dinner and a Movie night at Bull and Barrell Brew Pub in Southeast.  “The committee hopes to add a venue for 2016, and we are talking with a couple of new locations. We just feel that this County offers some great locations to enjoy a film,” Bob continued.
The Village of Brewster Film Festival is Labor Day Weekend, from September 1st-4th, 2016. You can submit your film via the website at VOBFilmFestival.com or contact Bob at 845 729 5107 for more details.
