Hurley Man Arrested for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property

PRESS RELEASE

On February 25, 2016 the New York State Police – Bureau of Criminal Investigation SP Kingston arrested ANDREW M. WOODARD, age 26 of West Hurley, NY for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree.

Subsequent to a burglary complaint called in to SP Kingston on February 23, 2016 in Ruby, NY an investigation was conducted on 15 stolen long guns including shotguns and rifles from the reported residence. During the investigation it was found that WOODARD was in possession of 10 of the stolen guns at his residence. After speaking with Investigators, WOODARD acknowledged he was in possession of the weapons.  He was subsequently arrested for his actions in the reported incident. All reported stolen long guns were recovered by Troopers.

WOODARD was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Propertyin the Fourth Degree (E-FELONY).  He was released on his own recognizance and issued an appearance ticket to Town of Hurley court with return date of March 1, 2016 at 6:00 p.m.
