Three Ulster County Men Arrested for Burglary

On February 24, 2016 the New York State Police – Bureau of Criminal Investigation at Kingston arrested JAMES MCKNIGHT, age 26 of Saugerties, NY, CODY J. VALENTI , age 21 of Saugerties, NY and CORY NECKETOPOULOS, age 22 of New Paltz, NY for Burglary in the Second Degree.

Subsequent to a burglary complaint called in to SP Kingston on February 23, 2016 in Ruby, NY, an investigation was conducted on 15 stolen long guns including shotguns and rifles from the reported residence.  During the investigation MCKNIGHT, VALENTI and NECKETOPOULOS were all interviewed as to their possible involvement in the alleged crime.  After speaking with Investigators at SP Kingston, all three subjects made admissions to their involvement in the incident and were subsequently arrested for their actions.  All reported stolen long guns were recovered by Troopers.

MCKNIGHT and NECKETOPOULOS were arraigned in Town of Ulster court and were charged with Burglary in the Second Degree (C-FELONY) and were released on their own recognizance with return date of March 1, 2016 at
2:00 p.m. in Town of Ulster court.

VALENTI was charged with Burglary in the Second Degree (C-FELONY) and was remanded to Ulster County Jail on $5,000 cash or $10,000 bail bond.
