WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 2016

1. Today is a “B” Day.

2. Youth for Diversity’s Black History Month Fact of the Day is: Former world heavyweight boxing champion Jimmy Ellis was born James Albert Ellis in Louisville, Kentucky in 1940. Ellis won the World Boxing Association title after beating Jerry Quarry in April 1968.

3. Lost and Found items will be outside of the high school dining hall during lunches this week. Items that aren’t picked up will be donated.

4. Attention all high school Photography Club members – There will be a meeting after school Thursday from 2-3:15 pm. We will be working on still life images. Bring a camera.

5. SAT Word of the Day: NADIR  – The word means the lowest point of something.

6. There will be a Scrub Club meeting today after school in Ms. Murray’s room. We will have a guest speaker.

7.  CINDERELLA!!! All leads please stay after today from 2-3:30 pm. We will be running vocals and dialogue from start to finish.

8. Are you interested in getting some community service? Students are needed to help with the Homework Club at Dover Elementary. If you are interested, please see Mrs. Cleaveland.

9. Middle School Activity Night from 6:30-9 pm on Friday, March 4th. Admission is $5 at the door. Come dance with friends and enjoy open gym.

10. HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS – Buy you Yearbook today. There are only 50 copies left! They are $75, see Ms. Wool or a Yearbook Club member for information.

11. Cosplay Club – Next week we will stay to 5 pm. We will have a presentation by Jacy and games afterwards. In the coming weeks, Ms. Deon will do presentations on the music of Ryuishi Sakamoto and the films of Akira Kurosawa. 

12. Girls Golf will be starting March 7th. Please see Mrs. Cleaveland for details.

13. There will be a Varsity Girls Lacrosse meeting on Monday, February 29th at 2:30 pm at Pawling High School. Any girls who cannot attend please see Coach Light in the middle school office before Monday.

14. Softball open gym this week today and Thursday from 2-3:30 pm. Thursday from 3:30-5 pm just pitchers and catchers.

16. TrebleMakers – we will meet today from 3:30-5 pm. ALL MEMBERS MUST ATTEND!
