FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 2016

1. Today is an “A” Day.

2. Youth for Diversity’s Black History Month Fact of the Day is: Vonetta Flowers became the first black gold medalist in the history of the Winter Olympic Games. She and partner Jull Brakken won the inagural women’s two-person bobsled event in 2002 at Salt Lake City, Utah.

3. Lost and Found items will be outside of the high school dining hall during lunches next week. Items that aren’t picked up will be donated.

4. Dutchess BOCES applications for the CTI Middle School Spring Enrichment Program are now available to middle school students who are interested. Please see Ms. Loos or Mr. Merc in the guidance office for more information or an application. Deadline to apply is Monday, March 14th.

5. SAT Word of the Day: PINNACLE  – The word means the highest point.

6. To all seniors, please submit photos from Middle School!  This year, the yearbook is having a flashback spread of all the seniors and is in need of photos.  It’s simple…all you have to do is go to hjeshare.com, and use the class code doverdragon to submit.  Or…you can bring in the photos to Ms. Wool.  The deadline is TODAY.  If you have any questions- please see Ms. Wool!

7.  CINDERELLA!!! FULL CAST from 2-3:30 pm today, men from 2-5! See you there!

8. Are you interested in getting some community service? Students are needed to help with the Homework Club at Dover Elementary. If you are interested, please see Mrs. Cleaveland.

9. FACS Club will meet after school in Mrs. Elliott’s room on Monday, February 22nd.
