Vehicle and Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Charges for Paterson, NJ Man

PRESS RELEASE

The New York State Police at Monroe announce the arrest of Matthew P. Liebermann, age 30, of Paterson, NJ for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a Class B Felony as well as Driving while Ability Impaired by Drugs.

Troopers stopped Liebermann for a traffic infraction on Maher Lane in the Village of Harriman, shortly after 3am. Subsequent to the traffic stop, Troopers arrested Liebermann for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs. During their investigation, Troopers found Liebermann in possession of PCP and he was additionally charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree.

Liebermann was arraigned in the Village of Harriman Justice Court and remanded to the custody of the Orange County Sheriff on $1,500 cash bail and $2,500 bond.  He is scheduled to reappear in the Village of Harriman Justice Court on February 18th, 2016 at 7pm.
