Hyde Park man arrested for possessing child pornography

Hyde Park, New York – On February 9, 2016, New York State Police from Rhinebeck, in conjunction with the Red Hook Police Department and the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office arrested Ethan Sledzianowski, age 37, of Hyde Park, New York, for Possessing a Sexual Performance of a Child, a Class D Felony.
On February 1, 2016, Sledzianowski was at the CVS in Red Hook and was observed printing out photographs of young girls dressed in lingerie. A CVS staff member reported the suspicious behavior to the Red Hook Police who intern contacted the State Police for assistance.
Pursuant to a forensic evaluation of the defendants computers and electronic media, he was found to possess pornographic images of children.
The defendant was arraigned before the Town of Hyde Park Hon. McArthur and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail. He is due to reappear in the Town of Hyde Park Court at a later date.
