Obituary, Ida M. Sgaggero

Ida M. Sgaggero, 90, a lifelong resident of Dover Plains, NY passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Sharon Heath Care Center in Sharon, CT. Mrs. Sgaggero was a housekeeper for Thomas Boyce in Dover Plains for many years. She was also a communicant of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Dover Plains, NY.

Born on April 22, 1925 in Dover Plains, NY she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Maddalena (Sartori) Pezzato. On July 14, 1946 in Dover Plains, NY she married Joseph A. Sgaggero who predeceased her on July 18, 1993.

Mrs. Sgaggero is survived by her son, Donald P. Sgaggero and his wife, Susan, of Dover Plains, NY; a brother, Angelo Pezzato of Dover Plains, NY and two sisters, Caroline Maniaci of Las Vegas, NV and Maryann Zani of Poughkeepsie, NY. She is also survived by her grandson, Joseph Sgaggero and his wife, Mollie, of Wassaic, NY; a granddaughter, Jessica Sgaggero and her partner, Dustin Horton, of Dover Plains, NY; three great-grandchildren, Ellie and Ezra Sgaggero and Hunter Horton and several nieces and nephews who will dearly miss her.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Sgaggero was predeceased by two sons, Joseph and Richard Sgaggero and two sisters and their husbands, Inez Spinella and her husband, Bruno and Placida Mostachetti and her husband Louie.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Sharon Health Care Center for their compassionate care during her stay.
