Philmont Man arrested after domestic dispute

Claverack, New York – On January 20, 2016, New York State Police in Livingston arrested Michael R. Sherman, age 26, from Philmont, New York,  after receiving a report of a disorderly subject.

An investigation revealed that Sherman had been involved in a domestic dispute.  During the incident, he allegedly chased the victim down the street as well as intentionally broke the windshield of a parked vehicle.

Sherman was arrested and arraigned before the Town of Claverack Court.  He was released on his own recognizance and is due to reappear in Claverack Court on February 16, 2016 at 7:00 PM.
