Middletown Man arrested for Assault after Stabbing a Co-worker with Scissors

PRESS RELEASE

State Police arrested Pedro Trinidad-Montano, age 60, from Middletown, for assault and weapon possession after he stabbed a co-worker during a dispute. On January 22nd at approximately 8:35 PM, troopers responded to Goodness Gardens in New Hampton for a report of a stabbing. When troopers arrived, they learned that Martin Valle-Perez, age 37, of Middletown, was stabbed in the left thigh with a pair of scissors by Trinidad-Montano. Valle-Perez was transported by ambulance to Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, where he was treated and released. Troopers arrested Trinidad-Montano, and charged him with assault in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree. He was arraigned in Town of Wawayanda Court, and committed to Orange County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail, pending a February 18th court appearance.
