Greenburgh, New York – On January 22, 2016, New York State Police from the Hawthorne barracks arrested Ronald M. Ackridge II, 59 years old, of Valhalla, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated, a Class D Felony, Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st Degree, a Class E Felony, and Criminal Impersonation in the 2nd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

At approximately 7:20 p.m., Troopers were dispatched to assist a disabled motorist on the Sprain Brook Parkway. The driver, who identified himself as William Starke, was found to be intoxicated.  After the driver was released from police custody, Troopers discovered that the driver of the disabled BMW provided them with a fictitious name to avoid felony DWI charges.  An investigation revealed that the true identity of the driver was Ackridge.

A criminal history revealed that Ackridge had two prior DWI related convictions from 2010 and 2014.  They also learned that his driver’s license was revoked. Ackridge was picked up at his residence and processed on the above charges.  He is due to appear in the Town of Greenburgh Court on February 4, 2016 at 9:30 a.m.
