State Police arrested three men for possessing counterfeit money

Peekskill, New York – The New York State Police Cortlandt Barracks arrested three individuals, in the City of Peekskill, for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the 1st Degree, a Class C Felony.  

Troopers were dispatched to investigate a complaint of a male attempting to pass a counterfeit $100 bill at an establishment  located in the Town of Cortlandt.  Following the investigation, police arrested 17-year-old Ronald Vallejo of Bronx, New York, Alberto Gonzalez, 23 years old of Yonkers, and 22-year-old Radelkys Inoa of Bronx, New York.

The three defendants were arraigned in the Village of Buchanan Court and remanded to the custody of the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.

Vallejo has two other pending Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 1st cases in the Town of Clarkstown, Rockland County, New York.

The investigation is on going and more charges are anticipated.
